Answer:
Wassalamualaikum wr. wb.
NNIAT is the qolbi (in the heart), the muqoronah (berbarEngan) with Takbiratul ikhrom. According to Imam Syafi’i Intention is: QOSDUS SYAI IN MUQTARINAN BI FI’LIHI, Meaning: Deliberate something berbarEgangan action. Therefore the intention in the heart when pronouncing Takbirotul ikhrom.

In contrast to Imam Hanafi and Imam Hambali (Ahmad ibn Hanbal) Intentions in the heart when before Takbiratul Ikhram. So the prayer that you do is not valid because of wrong intention. (Zuhr prayer intention, whereas the intention of Ashar prayer). Your duty to repeat the Ashar prayer.

For more details follow the following description;
Rukun Prayer
Prayer has several conditions, rukun, sunnat-sunnat Ab’adh and sunnat-sunnat Hai’ah. Terms of something that has been done before the prayer, while the pillars are at work on praying. The so-called sunnat Ab’ad is something sunnat which if left behind may be replaced with prostration sahwi, while sunnat Hai’ah is sunnat actions if not done because forgotten not replaced with prostration sahwi.
Rukun Prayer: 1. Intention 2. Standing in prayer fardhu for the power 3. Takbiratul ikhrom 4. Reading Al-Fatihah 5. Rukuk, and tuma’ninah 6. I’tidal, and tuma’ninah, 7. Sujud, twice and tuma ‘ninah 8. Sit between two sujud, 9. Tasyahud end 10. Sit tasyahud end 11. Sholawat on the Prophet after tasyahud end (in a sitting position) 12. Salam 13. Orderly (Zuhaili, Al-Fiqh al Islam wa adillatuhu, 1997 Vol II p.814)
1. Intention must be done at the beginning of the prayer. Intention according to the Syafii School is qoshdus syai ‘muqtarinan bifiklihi means deliberate something in concert with his deeds. The intention is the will of the heart, deliberate in the heart (pillar qalbi).
Before talking further about Intent there is a series of Usholli. This Usholli problem even though the law is sunnat only, but because it is closely related to Intention and with obligatory prayer, it becomes an important matter in worship.
Imam Nawawi a scholar of the Shafii school was born 630 AH and died 676 H, in his book Minhajut Thalibin a parent book in the Shafi’i School states: “And the sunnat pronounces the Intent a sesa’at before takbir”.
Saying Intention, meaning to say Usholli sesa’at before Takbiratul Ihraam. This Usholli problem in the term of fiqih is called “Talaffuzh bin Niyah Qubailit Takbir” which means “Spelling out what is intended shortly before Takbir”, ie when one is ready to stand for prayer. Saying usholli alone without intending in the heart is not legal, because usholli is not intention because the intention lies in the heart is not dilidah. Usholli the law sunnat, but the intention is to get along or fardhu.

Usholli who was spoken shortly before takbir was based on Qias on the command of the Messenger of Allah. to the pilgrims to pronounce lafaz the intention of hajj. As the following hadith which means: “From Saidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) say in Wadi ‘Aqiq: Coming last night from my Lord, He commands us to pray in this blessed valley, and say” This Umrah in the hadj. “(The authentic hadith of Imam Bukhari ‘Sahih Bukhari I p.189- Fathul Bari, Juz.IV p.135)
The above hadith states that; At the time he and his companions arrived in Padang ‘Aqiq to Mecca to perform the pilgrimage, he commanded his friends to intend “Umrah together Hajj” meaning he and his companions performed “Hajj Qiran” That is Hajj with Umrah ” Aqiq is about 4 miles from the city of Madinah In the hadeeth the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) orders the intent of Hajj by saying: “Qul”, which means pronounce, spoken and spoken to the heart Imam Ibn Hajar al Haitami states in Tuhfatul Muhtaj Ila Syarhil Minhaj, that Ushalli is preached to the Hajj, as mentioned above. On the basis of this, the sunnat Ushalli recite shortly before Takbiratul Ikhram in performing the prayer.
Meaning Intention in Indonesian is the purpose, purpose and vow.

As in Arabic Intention means intentionally or deliberately in the heart. The meaning of intent is deliberate in the heart.

In religious terms, Intent is: “Qosdus syayin muktarinan bi fi’lihi” means: “Deliberate doing something in unison by doing something.”
The above formula of intentions can be found also in the books of jurisprudence of mu’tamad, as in Qaliyubi which means: “That intention according to the syari’at of Islam is: Deliberate to do something diserempakkan by doing something that.” (Qaliyubi, Juz I p.40)
If in prayer, then the intention must be installed or placed at the beginning of prayer, that is when reading Takbir “Allahu Akbar”.
If at the pilgrimage, then the intention must be installed when wearing ihram clothes and start reading Talbiyah, “Labbaik
Allahumma Labbaik “.
The position of Intention in Islamic Shari’ah is very important and determines the validity of a worship. So the Messenger of Allah. which means: “All righteous deeds must be of intent.” (HR.Bukhari etc.)
From the above hadith statement means the intention is the harmonious of all worship. It is this intention that distinguishes between the act including worship or custom. If worship without intention according to shari’ah: So;

Prayer movement is the same as gymnastics,
Fasting to eat with the same diet,
Bathing, worth only cleaning the body of the dirt only,
Sitting in the mosque is only worth resting, not I’tikaf,

Zakat is worth giving a treasure to someone for spree and immoral,
Cutting a goat for the Qurban if it does not intend and on time become a sacrifice for the party alone,

Go to Mecca to perform the pilgrimage, if not intend then to be a sightseeing trip only.

Therefore it takes intention in the heart to determine the worship that is done.
For example wudlu intentions then explicitly when washing the face expressed in the heart: “I deliberately lifted a small hadats to allow fardlu prayer for Allah.”

If you intend to pray, then in Shafi’i School it is determined that the intention of the prayer should be in harmony with the beginning of the prayer, should not be in the past and should not be in the future. With the understanding that the intention of prayer should be together with takbir, or put into the words “Allahu Akbar”, because it is called the beginning of prayer prayer.

For example praying zuhr, then when pronouncing “Allahu Akbar” in the heart is intended: “I intentionally pray fadlu zuhur four rak’ah for Allah.” It is called in the fiqh term: Mandatory Muqaranah “, which must be done simultaneously.
The concurrent understanding above refers to the saying of the Prophet Muhammad: “Innamal a’maalu binniyat” – That all deeds must be with niyat. The word “with” or “bi” shows simultaneously, because “bi” shows “mushahabah”, ie meet. With understanding; that all such deeds must “meet” with intent, not to be past and untenable. (Al-Asqalani, Fathul Bari, Juz I p.14)

Intention in the prayer is harmonious, unauthorized prayer without intention. All Fiqh scholars agree, Imam Syafi’i, Hanafi, Maliki and Hambali. In the Shafi and Maliki Schools the intention is one of the “pillars” of prayer, unlawful if it does not use the intention, but in the Hanafi and Hambali Schools the intention is “legal condition”. Different terms only means also if you do not use the intention, then the prayer is null and void.

Which must be considered in the intention of prayer there are three elements:
arton 77: Deliberately commits. So the unauthorized prayers of people who have no intention to pray.
means: Declare the nature of prayer, Fardlu what sunnat. To distinguish
What do fardlu prayers do sunnat.

Meaning: Confirms what prayers. Do the dawn prayers, Zuhur, Ashar, Maghrib, Isha ‘etc.
These three elements are what must be stated in the heart in the intention of praying. Apart from the mandatory, there are also elements which are stated in the intention of sunnat; that is;

1. State his raka’at; two, three or four.
2. State to the Qiblah.
3.Declare Cash or qadla and
4. State because of God. This affirms sincerity.
Then all the obligatory and the sunnat in intention of praying there are seven. Which is required; Intentionally make, Declare the nature of prayer and Confirm what prayers. The sunnat; Declare raka’at, Overlooking Qiblah, Declare Cash or Qadla and Declare For God alone.

As an example; Usholli Fardlos Subhi Rok’ataini Mustaqbilal qiblati Adaan Lillahi Ta’ala. Then when pronouncing Takbiratui Ikhrom then in the heart intend “Sengajaku pray Fardlu at dawn two raka’at facing Qibla Tunai Because Allah.”
If exemplified mandatory intentions only:
Tongue uttered: Allaaaahu Akbar.
Heart says: I pray fardlu Fajr.

So to be noticed in Intent; First, Intention is in the heart, not read. Secondly, the intention must be “Muqaranah” which is synonymous with the beginning of worship, not to be past and not lasting, except for fasting which its intention may be precedent, because it is difficult to do in unison. Third, Sholat worship begins with Takbir, which is the words of Allahu Akbar. So the intention of prayer should be stated in the heart to sa’at recite Allahu Akbar. The four Muqaranah are of two kinds; ie Muqaranah Haqiqiyah is in full synchrony fully at the beginning of the intention when it says “Alif” in Allahu Akbar and ends in “ra”.

Muqaranah Urfiyah, is not simultaneously correct, at least in pronouncing Allahu Akbar crossed in a compulsory heart; sengajaku Fardlu Prayer Fajr, then the rest occurred after Takbir, then it is legitimate intention.
Recognized by the Ulema Fiqh Mutaqaddimin and Mutaakhirin that to do “Muqaranah Haqiqiyah” is experiencing difficulties, then enough if still able to carry out “Muqranah Urfiyah”. That must be considered is; Unlawful prayer when the empty heart does not think anything on the tongue sa’at saying “Allahu Akbar”.

Bringing his whole intention to his tongue saying “Allahu Akbar” is very difficult if not helped by pronouncing Lafaz Intention first before reciting Allahu Akbar. Reading Lafaz That intention is called “Usholli”.
Thus, the father’s prayer is repeated again Ashar prayer, because the prayer is done with the wrong intention though Lafaz intention (USHOLLI) correct, still the prayer is not valid.
