Makhmuum al Qalbi, One of the Main Human Characteristics

عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال قيل لرسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أى الناس أفضل قال «كل مخموم القلب صدوق اللسان». قالوا صدوق اللسان نعرفه فما مخموم القلب قال «هو التقى النقى لا إثم فيه ولا بغى ولا غل ولا حسد»

From Abdullah bin Amru radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, he said: Rasulullah shallallahu’ alaihi wa sallam asked: “Man is where the most important?” He said: “Man is most important is that everyone who makhmuum al qalbi and honestly spoken.” They said: ” upright spoken we knew he meant and what he meant by makhmuum al qalbi? “the Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallama said:” He is the cautious, clean heart that there is no sin, kezhaliman, perfidy and malice in it. “[ HSR. From An-Nu’man bin Basyir radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, the Prophet sallallaahu’ alaihi wa sallam said,

ألا وإن فى الجسد مضغة إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله, وإذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله. ألا وهى القلب

“Remember that there is a lump in the body. If he is good, then all the bodies well. If he is damaged, then the entire body also damaged. Know that he is the heart. “(Narrated by Bukhari 52 and Muslim No. 1599).


From ‘Abdullah bin’ Amru bin Al ‘Ash radhiyallahu’ anhu, he said that he had heard the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

إن قلوب بني آدم كلها بين إصبعين من أصابع الرحمن كقلب واحد يصرفه حيث يشاء ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اللهم مصرف القلوب صرف قلوبنا على طاعتك

“Verily the heart of all men is between two fingers of the fingers of God the Most Gracious. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala will turn the hearts of men according to His will. “After that, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam prayed; “Allahumma mushorrifal quluub shorrif quluubanaa ‘ala tho’atik” [Oh Allah, the devoted heart, turn our hearts to the obedience of worshiping You] (HR Muslim No. 2654).

Allah Azza Wa Jalla, said:

يوم لا ينفع مال ولا بنون
إلا من أتى الله بقلب سليم

“On the day when treasure and children are of no use save those who stand before God with a pure heart.” (Surah Asy-Syu’ara ’26 verses 88-89)

Our Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

إن العبد إذا أخطأ خطيئة نكتت فى قلبه نكتة سوداء فإذا هو نزع واستغفر وتاب سقل قلبه وإن عاد زيد فيها حتى تعلو قلبه وهو الران الذى ذكر الله (كلا بل ران على قلوبهم ما كانوا يكسبون

“If a servant sins a sin, it will be inscribed a black dot in his heart. But if he leaves it and beristigfar undoubtedly his heart will be cleared from the black dot. Conversely, if he continues to sin, black dots will continue to grow to close his heart. That is the concluding wall Allah mentioned in the verse, ‘Absolutely not, exactly what they have always done is to close their hearts.’ (QS.al-Muthaffifin: 14). “(Narrated by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah, assigned by Shaykh Al-Albani).

Ibn Abbas said, “The goodness of it gives birth to the joy of the face, the light of the heart, the splendor of rizki, the strength of the body, and the mahabbah in the hearts of men, and indeed evil (sin) leads to pallor on the face, darkness of the heart, narrow rizki, weakness and hatred In the human heart.
